Every year in March there is a college basketball tournament, commonly referred to as March Madness. The reason it is called March Madness is because of the incredible upsets that happen throughout the tournament. The tournament is made up of 64 teams, split into four divisions of 16. The one seeds are the best teams and the sixteen seeds are the worst ranked teams. Every single year one of the worst ranked teams makes an amazing run and beats the odds against teams they are supposed to lose to. The announcers of these games refer to these under-dog teams as "Cinderella Stories". As in the fairy tale Cinderella starts very inferior to everyone but when a chance arises she proves to everyone how beautiful and amazing of a person she is. These teams do the same, they start with less talent and other teams look down on them, but they use it to their advantage and prove their worth to the higher ranked teams. The players on these cinderella teams often say, this is a dream come true. Or they never expected to make it this far in their wildest dreams. The connection between being a cinderella story, and their dreams brings the connection back to fairy tales being around to make dreams come true.
